Nino Tvaltvadze participated in the 5th Global Summit of the Open Government Partnership. A panel entitled "How Open Cities Contribute to Transparency at the Local Level to Reduce Corruption" was organized by the United Nations Development Program.
Nino Tvaltvadze also spoke about the process of approving the anti-corruption strategy in Kutaisi and the measures to be taken under the action plan. Together with the experience of Madrid and Strassen, Kutaisi presented its vision and reaffirmed its full readiness to promote corruption through maximum transparency and openness, increase the involvement of citizens and introduce modern mechanisms necessary for the process.
Georgia, as the chairing country, hosted the Open Government Partnership Global Summit on July 17-19. Up to 2,000 high-ranking officials from 75 countries took part in the event. As well as a representative of civil society and international organizations.
