A friendship agreement was signed between Kutaisi and the city of Nanchang (People's Republic of China).
Ioseb Khakhaleishvili –Mayor of Kutaisi City Municipality and Wan Guanming - Mayor of Nanchang City signed a memorandum to establish bilateral relations and develop friendly cooperation between the two cities.
„Today we signed a memorandum of friendship with the Chinese city of Nanchang. Nanchang, like Kutaisi, is an ancient city. We have many things in common, including the fact that Nanchang is also developing as a university city.
We started our relationship with Nanchang in 2015 and today we officially signed our friendship. Our goal is to promote economic and trade relations between the two cities and carry out exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, science, technology, culture, education, sports, healthcare and tourism," said Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
 The ceremony of signing the memorandum was held online.
