The Moldova delegation is paying officially the visit in Kutaisi. The Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili and Chairman of the City Council Irakli Shengelia received the guests at the city hall. The Project manager of UNDP's Tbilisi office Tinatin Tkeshelashvili also participated in the meeting.
They talked about the ongoing projects in the municipalities of Georgia and Moldova within the framework of the EU and UNDP program - "Mayors for Economic Growth" (M4EG).
„In Kutaisi, we have an official delegation from Moldova, Anatoli Topal, mayor of Ceadîr-Lunga, and representatives of UNDP. In Moldova, as well as in Georgia, the project "Portfolio of Municipal Transformations" is underway, which is a part of the "Mayors for Economic Growth" (M4EG) initiative – in a close cooperation with the United Nations Development Program, the European Union, local authorities and other partners.
Together with the guests, we talked about the concrete steps that we have already taken to implement the project mentioned above, we shared our experiences and ways to overcome challenges, and we also offered our Moldovan friends an interesting program to get to know our city better. "- said Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
Moldovan guests visited the Kutaisi International University(KIU), Union of Scientists "Spectri", municipal car park, composting square and saw the sights of the city.
