The Third International Forum of Kutaisi will be held on May 31 "Integrated Transformation for Sustainable Development".
In 2019, Kutaisi City Municipality established Kutaisi International Forum (KIF) "In Search of the Golden Fleece", in cooperation with the "EU Mayors for Economic Growth" (M4EG) initiative and USAID's "Good Governance Program".
Partners of the project are: European Union, USAID , Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection, National Association of Local Self-Governments of Georgia (NALAG).
By establishing the forum, Kutaisi aims to become a platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and best practices on sustainable urban development, in medium and second-level cities, and to promote the strengthening of multidisciplinary dialogue between the representatives of various public institutions, civil society, organizations, educational institutions and businesses.
Kutaisi International Forum provides a space for discovering new opportunities, sharing experiences and learning space. Through the previous two forums (2019 and 2021), KIF has already become a valuable venue for current and future challenges of sustainable urban development.
At the Third Kutaisi International Forum, the focus will be on the joint project of the European Union and Kutaisi City Municipality: "Kutaisi: Integrated Transformation for Sustainable Development". Participants of the forum will discuss various forms of cooperation between the local government and the business sector, as well as methods of improving municipal services.
