The Mayor of Kutaisi City Hall Ioseb Khakhaleishvili and the State Representative in Imereti Region Zviad Shalamberidze met the Ambassador of Israel in Georgia Hadas Ester Meitzad. The Jew Diplomat paid two days’ working visit in Kutaisi. Meanwhile she held the meeting at Kutaisi International University, where she talked about the Israel Investment Fund and the future cooperation with the University. As it was mentioned at the meeting, signing the Memorandum of Partnership between the cities Yokneam and Kutaisi is being considered.

 Today we met the Israel Ambassador in Georgia Hadas Ester Meitzad and we talked about the close friendship and cooperation between Jews and Georgians, which have traditionally been existed for years. We are working on the issue of strengthening the relationship between Kutaisi and Yokneam.

In July the Ambassador would attend UEFA Championship Tournaments under 21 years, where Israel team would play three matches. During the Championship we would be able to introduce Kutaisi to the Sportsmen arriving from Israel.”-stated the Mayor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
