“Kutaisi City Day” isn’t the festival only for the people living in Kutaisi. This day is always celebrated with our friends. Today we have the guests from our sister cities, who visited from Ukraine, Poland, Moldova and Hungary. Kutaisi is one of the oldest city in the world with the European values and it isn’t coincidence that we host our European friends this day. Close partnership and cooperation with our sister cities is extremely important now when our country was granted the European Candidate Status and we hope for their support on the path towards the full-fledged membership. We hosted the guests at the rehabilitated “Golden Marquee”, introduced to our city history and present, looked at some exhibitions. Our foreign friends will attend all the planned events today.”- stated the Mayor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
