According to the decision made at the meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the educational process was suspended from March 2 to March 16 in public schools, kindergartens, cultural, artistic and sports institutions.

This decision did not apply to private sector educational institutions. However, relevant recommendations were issued for them as well. Mayor of Kutaisi Giorgi Tchighvaria held a meeting with representatives of private kindergartens and day care centers.

They were advised, like the public sector, to stop working for 2 weeks and use this period to disinfect the buildings of the institutions under them.

Kutaisi Disinfection and Special Surveillance Service provided relevant advice to carry out disinfection works in accordance with the rules. In addition, if necessary, private gardens will be assisted by government agencies in purchasing disinfectants.
