Kutaisi City Council held its 29th regular session. The first issue, which involves the change in the budget, was approved by the deputies by a majority of votes. The need to make changes in the 2020 budget of Kutaisi came as a result of adding several infrastructure projects. Specifically, the amount needed for the improvement of the yards of multi-apartment houses, GEL 172.6 (one hundred and seventy-two thousand, six hundred) was allocated from the Regional Development Fund. The current session also approved the issue of reconstruction of administrative buildings and construction of a bus park, for which the budget provides 2, 696.7 (two million six hundred and ninety-six thousand, seven hundred GEL). Due to the changes, the budget of Kutaisi is 77,773.9 thousand (seventy-seven million, seventy-three thousand, nine hundred) GEL. The issue of receiving a grant from the European Commission under the Black Sea Basin Program was also presented at the meeting. The project envisages increasing the active tourist potential in the Black Sea basin and the development of active tourist places. The project is for 2 years and the total amount is 159 856.80 (one hundred and fifty nine thousand eight hundred and fifty six) Euros. The co-participation of Kutaisi City Municipality was set at 8%, so 12 788.55 (twelve thousand seven hundred and ninety eight) Euros.
