The mayor of the city spoke about the projects and programs implemented in different directions in Kutaisi city municipality this year.

Unprecedented was the volume of infrastructure projects in 2019 and especially - road works. A total of 50 road projects were completed, up to GEL 2 million was spent on repairing retaining walls, and GEL 471,000 was spent on arranging kindergarten wings. 565 000 GEL was allocated for the repair of the facades. Rehabilitation works of drainage systems cost up to 3 million GEL, small rehabilitation works of schools - up to 2 million GEL.

Out of the programs implemented in Kutaisi, the emergency response program is especially important - the program budget is 50 000 GEL, the program to support the integration of people with severe disabilities - the program budget is 5 500 GEL, the support program for students with disabilities is 7 000 GEL, the domestic violence victim assistance program - 10 000 GEL. Home care program - 25 000 GEL, assistance to people with leukemia and solid tumors - 25 000 GEL, assistance to cochlear implant beneficiaries - 27 000 GEL, free travel - 293 800 GEL, assistance to people with disabilities - 35 000 GEL, assistance to people with special needs - 152 000 GEL, promotion of living conditions of socially vulnerable families - 200 000 GEL, social events - 316 700 GEL

Assistance for large families - 1,000,000 GEL, Support program for single parents - 10,000 GEL, Rehabilitation program for children with autism spectrum disorders - 340,500 GEL, Funding / co-financing of programs aimed at supporting people with disabilities - 25,000 GEL.

Significant projects have also been implemented to address housing infrastructure problems.

The city mayor also spoke at the concluding meeting about several projects envisaged in the 2020 budget.

RFF will rehabilitate 7 sports schools and 3 music schools in Kutaisi in 2020, will repair the facade of 5 apartment buildings, will arrange 8 squares, and will build several dozen streets.

Improvement of elevators and yards of multi-apartment houses and arrangement of a simple type of sports field. Rehabilitation of the 4th polyclinic is planned.

At the same meeting, the mayor of Kutaisi  Giorgi Chighvaria and Vice-Mayor Davit Eremeishvili handed over letters of gratitude to the authors of the winning projects of the competition "Budgeting 2019".
