A memorial plaque of Georgian director Giga Lortkipanidze was unveiled in Kutaisi at  Sarajishvili Street 49.

The famous creator spent his childhood years in this house. Giga Lortkipanidze was the main director of the Kutaisi Lado Meskhishvili Professional State Drama Theater in 1954-1956. His name is associated with many successes of the Kutaisi Theater.

The opening ceremony of the director's memorial plaque with the support of the family of Giga Lortkipanidze of Kutaisi city Municipality and A (A) IP "St. The branch of the Union of Cultural, Artistic and Educational Institutions of Kutaisi - Rezo Chkheidze - was organized by the house "Soldier's Father".

Imereti State Representative Zviad Shalamberidze, Vice-Mayor of kutaisi Davit Eremeishvili,  Deputy Chairman of city council  Ramaz Chkheidze and the director's family members participated in the opening ceremony.
