School sports olympiad 2020 municipal tournament was opened in Kutaisi in the student-youth park. The first competitions were held in volleyball and gymnastics.Vice-Mayor of kutaisi  Davit Eremeishvili, Deputy Chairman of the City Council Ramaz Chkhikvadze and Majoritarian MP Mamuka Rizhamadze attended the opening of the Olympics. The Olympics is organized with the support of the City Hall and organized by the Association of A (A) IP Sports Institutions. It includes 220 teams from 45 public and private schools, girls and boys across the city. Competitions will be held in 8 sports. The winning teams will compete in regional, then zonal and national tours. The students of the winning schools will participate in the World Olympiad on behalf of Georgia.
