A tripartite memorandum was signed between Akaki Tsereteli State University, Kutaisi City Hall and the Kindergarten Association. Its main goal is to create an appropriate and comfortable environment for children with special needs. This includes: training of special education teachers, improvement of special modules for working with children with autism and, for the first time in Georgia, for pedagogical students, internships in kindergartens. Practice allows to create a qualified and competitive personnel reserve, ie. Young people will be given more chances to be employed in their profession.
The memorandum is an equally effective guarantee in the educational and social spheres.
Prior to the signing of the Memorandum, the Kutaisi A (A) IP Kindergarten Association and Kutaisi City Hall conducted preliminary studies and intensive meetings with parents of children with special needs, representatives of day care centers, the Public Defender's Office, the Disability Advisory Board and all international and non-governmental organizations. For whom the priority is to adapt and rehabilitate this segment in the process of preschool education.
The memorandum was signed by the Mayor of Kutaisi Giorgi Chighvaria, the Rector of Atssu Giorgi Ghavtadze and the Director of the Kutaisi Nurseries Association Davit Tsitaishvili.
