The Deputy Mayor of Kutaisi  Nino Tvaltvadze and Imereti Deputy Governor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili hosted the participants of the UN Modeling Conference in the local self-government hall.

The sides discussed the importance of the UN Modeling Conference and the involvement of Kutaisi in it. It was noted at the meeting that this is the first large-scale international project in Kutaisi, in which young people from 10 twin cities take part.

60 young people are participating in the UN International Modeling Conference, 30 of them from Kutaisi Municipality and 30 from 9 twin cities near Kutaisi.

The goal of UN Modeling is to introduce and disseminate democratic values ​​among young people, to develop communication and professional skills, and to strengthen cooperation with sister cities in Kutaisi city Municipality.

The UN International Modeling Conference is organized by the Local Democracy Agency of Georgia - LDA, in cooperation with the Kutaisi City Hall, the United Nations Development Fund and the Peace Corps.
