The Deputy Mayor of Kutaisi Nino Tvaltvadze together with Imereti Deputy Governor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili and members of Kutaisi city council met with the participants of the UN Modeling Conference in the Parliament of Georgia and addressed them. The meeting was attended by the heads of the administrative service of Kutaisi City Hall and majoritarians from the City Council. The participants were also addressed by the Chairman of the Commission for Culture, Education, Youth Affairs and Sports of the Kutaisi city counciil, Otar Lortkipanidze, and the Head of the Local Democracy Agency, Nino Khukhua. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps from Estonia, Azerbaijan and Poland.
60 young people are participating in the UN International Modeling Conference, 30 of them from Kutaisi city Municipality and 30 from 9 twin cities near Kutaisi. The goal of UN Modeling is to introduce and disseminate democratic values among young people, to develop communication and professional skills, and to strengthen cooperation with sister cities in Kutaisi city Municipality. The UN International Modeling Conference is organized by the Local Democracy Agency of Georgia - LDA, in cooperation with the Kutaisi City Hall, the United Nations Development Fund and the Peace Corps.
