Kutaisi City Hall hosted the Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia, Ihor Dolhov. The meeting was attended by the Acting Mayor of Kutaisi City Municipality, Davit Eremeishvili, Deputy Mayor Irakli Karkashadze, the Head of the Administration Petre Adamadze and the Chairman of the Culture, Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Commission at Kutaisi City Council Otar Lortkipanidze. The Ambassador was interested in how the local self-government of Kutaisi acted in the pandemic period. The Acting Mayor of Kutaisi City Municipality spoke about the programs and projects implemented in the city during the state of emergency.
"Kutaisi has up to 10 sister cities and partner cities in Ukraine. We have talked about the future projects and about the ‘Annual Advisory Forum on the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe’ which is planned to be held in Kutaisi in 2021’’ – said Davit Eremeishvili. During the meeting, it was discussed the Kutaisi International University, which will be available for Ukrainian professors and students. At the end of the meeting, the parties handed each other some memorable gifts.
