Kutaisi City Council held its 38th session, which was attended by Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, Deputy Mayors and heads of departments.
At the session, Dr. Teimuraz Nadiradze was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the City Council by the proposal of the Chairman of the City Council Irakli Shengelia.
According to the agenda of the City Council, the amendments to the 2021 budget of the city were discussed and approved.
The budget was amended based on the Decree of the Government of Georgia N2685 of December 31, 2020. In particular, 8,051,600 GEL was allocated to Kutaisi City Municipality from the Fund of Projects to be implemented in the regions. In addition, the balance as of December 31, 2020 was transferred to the Unified Treasury Account. Accordingly, part of the program codes and revenue in the budget expenditure part has increased.
"The current year's budget has been increased by 15 million GEL, which is about 25% of the initial budget. This amount includes the 8 million GEL that we received in the first phase for the implementation of infrastructure projects in the city, and the balance that we will use to finance both infrastructure and various projects and programs - social, educational, anti-COVID. Therefore, some changes were made in the budget, because these funds allowed us to increase funding for certain projects, "- said Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
At the session of Kutaisi City Council were also discussed the projects to be financed in Kutaisi City Municipality in 2021 - 2024 from the Fund for Projects to be Implemented in the Regions of Georgia.
