Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili met with successful young boxers and their coaches. Boxers from Kutaisi won 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals at the Georgian championship.

Georgian Boxing Championship was held in Batumi on February 25-28. 12 representatives from Kutaisi NNLE Sports Institutions Union participated in the competition, 5 of them took the prize place:

Demetre Mikautadze and Temur Kartvelishvili won the first place, Saba Eremeishvili and Davit Mikautadze took the second place, and Giorgi Letodiani won the bronze medal. The students of coaches Zaal Javakhadze, Bezhan Sichinava and Avtandil Kashia also got a license to participate in the European Championship.

"Boxing is a traditional sport for Kutaisi and I am glad that our young boxers continue these traditions with dignity. Today I met our fellow boxers who won the Georgian championship. I would also like to thank the coaches whose hard work has resulted in these successes. Kutaisi City Hall will support the development of various sports in the city, "- said Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
