Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili hosted H.E. Hubert Knirsch – the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia

 The Mayor of the city and the German diplomat talked about the friendly relations between the two countries and joint projects. The Ambassador of Germany was interested in the work done by the local authorities during the pandemic.

The meeting focused on education, youth, economy and tourism spheres. Direct flights between Kutaisi and German cities will help to further expand these contacts.

Preparatory work will soon begin to select a sister city in Germany for Kutaisi.
