Today   the   anniversary   of   the   3-rd   deployed  troops  was  held   in   Kutaisi.Representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces, together withthe General Staff, laid a wreath at the memorial to the fallen heroes before theevent. Mayor   of Kutaisi Giorgi   Tchighvaria,   Deputy   Mayor   Giorgi   Iobashvili   andActing   Governor   of   Imereti   Grigol   Dalakishvili   participated   in   the   ceremonialevents. On the jubilee 107 youth of pre-military age took an oath.The soldiers wereawarded today. The exhibition of military techniques and the concert were alsoheld. The 3rd Infantry Brigade was formed on August 6, 1992, originally namedafter  the  22nd  Motorized Rifle,  and even  the  place  of  the  dislocation  was  notdetermained. In 2006, the military unit was stationed in Kutaisi. The 3rd Infantry Brigade is actively involved in peacekeeping missions.
