On May 2, the celebration of "Kutaisoba 2022" traditionally began with the blessing of Kutaisi .

The Metropolitan Bishop of Kutaisi , Reverend Ioane blessed Kutaisi and the citizens of this city in the Bagrati Cathedral.

The Mayor of Kutaisi City Municipality Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, State Representative in Imereti Zviad Shalamberidze, Majoritarian MP Zaza Lominadze, visitors of the city , the members of the “Chokhosani” community and representatives of local authorities were present at the church ritual.

The monuments of Otar Sulaberidze, Otar Mamporia and Otar Korkia were decorated with flowers by the participants of "Kutaisoba2022" and once again honored the memory of famous Kutaisi citizens.
