Within the "Kutaisoba 2022", the awarding of honorary citizens of Kutaisi was held.

The Mayor of Kutaisi City Municipality Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, the Chairman of the City Council Irakli Shengelia and the representatives of the local authorities gave the deeds and badges to the honorary citizens of Kutaisi in the White Hall of the Kutaisi City Municipality.

Holders of honorary titles in 2022: Writer Leri Alimonaki, Professor Otar Chumburidze, Meritorious Member of the Society "Kutaiseli" Jemal Khachapuridze, Reverend Ioane Gamrekeli, Politician Teimuraz Shashiashvili, Professor Robert Goletiani, Rector of Akaki Tsereteli State University Roland Kopaliani, Pediatrician Vera (Kusa) Nodia.

“Today we awarded the title of honorary citizen of Kutaisi to 8 more people. We know well all of them in Kutaisi and know their merits to their hometown. I congratulate them on the honorary title awarded and hope that they will be in the service of their hometown and citizens for a long time,” –said the Mayor of the city Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
