The Mayor of Kutaisi City Municipality Ioseb Khakhaleishvili met with representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). He talked to the guests about the international projects that are being actively implemented in Kutaisi. At the meeting, Ioseb Khakhaleishvili offered project proposals to the GIZ representatives. This refers to the establishment of a center for creative industry and digital education in Kutaisi and the arrangement of handicraft trade spaces in Veriko Anjaparidze Square.

"EU4ITD - Catalyst for Economic and Social Life" is implemented by GIZ. In the framework of the project "Good Governance for Local Development in the South Caucasus" with the financial support of the EU and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The aim of the EU4ITD initiative is to promote economic and social life in the PIRDP regions, which include: Guria, Imereti, Kakheti, Racha-Lechkhumi and four regions of Kvemo Svaneti. The project implementation period is 2022-2025 and the total budget is 7.5 million euros.
