Regional Civil Society Forum was held at Akaki Tsereteli State University. The mayor of Kutaisi City Municipality Ioseb Khakhaleishvili took part in the forum. The meeting was organized by the Imereti Regional Hub - Local Democracy Agency of Georgia (LDA) and the Center for Education Development and Employment (EDEC) within the framework of the project "Civil Society Initiative".

The purpose of the forum was to promote a culture of volunteerism, attract potential donors and strengthen civil society in the Imereti region. The workshop was preceded by an exhibition with the participation of non-governmental/public organizations operating in the Imereti region, where they presented their current activities.

The forum was organized within the framework of the project "Civil Society Initiative: Sustainable, Open and Accountable Civil Society Organizations for the Development of Georgia", implemented by the EU and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS).
