The Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili has met with the representatives of the Czech office of the United Nations Development Fund (UNDP) and the Czech Embassy and has discussed with them the new project "Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan of Kutaisi".

The mentioned project was developed with the cooperation of Kutaisi City Municipality and Caucasus Regional Environmental Protection Center.

The urban plan includes the development and implementation of new bicycle lanes, parking spaces, new schemes of municipal transport .

 "This plan was prepared with the mutual cooperation of the Kutaisi City Hall and the Caucasus Regional Environmental Protection Center and we submitted it to the Czech Embassy. The plan envisages the development of new parking spaces, pedestrian crossings and new schemes for municipal transport in the city. Within the framework of the project, experts will visit Kutaisi, who will develop the city's sustainable urban mobility schemes in detail . At the meeting, we also talked about other ongoing projects in the municipality, the municipal transformation portfolio and the Eco Smart City concept.” –said the mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
