Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, on the occasion of Mother's Day, met with the mothers of soldiers born in Kutaisi who were killed in the fight for the territorial integrity of Georgia.

The children of Lily Kervalishvili, Neli Mchedlidze-Nikitin and Tsiala Jailova died in the August 2008 war.

"On Mother's Day, I congratulate all the mothers and especially the mothers who sacrificed the lives of their dearest children. We will always respect the memory of the children of these women, our fellow heroes. I would like to encourage mothers to live in a peaceful and prosperous Georgia!"

The mayor of the city presented memorable gifts to the mothers of the heroes.
