Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia Imamura Akira having an official visit to Kutaisi
The Japanese diplomat was hosted by the Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, Imereti State Representative Zviad Shalamberidze and Chairman of the City Council Irakli Shengelia.
The visit was introductory nature and the new Ambassador of Japan started his official visit to the regions of Georgia through Kutaisi.
Ioseb Khakhaleishvili talked to Imamura Akira about the role and importance of Kutaisi in the country, as well as the most important role of our country in the region; Kutaisi International University and Airport, political and civil processes. The Mayor of the city also offered the Ambassador the idea to twin with one of the Japanese cities of Kutaisi.
"It is a pleasant fact for us that the Ambassador of Japan to Georgia arrived in Kutaisi on his first visit. We talked about several important issues, including future cooperation, the implementation of the idea of our famous athletes Davit Khakhaleishvili and Gagamura, which involves the arrangement of Sakura Alley in Kutaisi.
