The 39th regular session of Kutaisi City Council was held. The sitting was attended by the Mayor of Kutaisi Ioseb Khakhaleishvili, Deputy Mayors, heads of departments.

Among the issues defined in the agenda, the issue of making a budget change in the resolution N167 of December 30, 2020 of the Kutaisi City Council was discussed and approved;

The issue of defining the boundaries of the zones on the territory of Kutaisi Municipality, determining the initial privatization fee for non-agricultural land plots included in the territorial zones and sub-zones;

Also due to the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19), from November 1, 2020 to February 7, 2021, in the city with vehicles of categories M1 (light vehicles), M2 (buses up to 5 tons full weight) and M3 (buses over 5 tons full weight) The issue of exemption of service companies from the obligation to pay the price of issuing permits for local city regular passenger transportation routes in the city of Kutaisi.

The Mayor of Kutaisi congratulated the participants on the 100th anniversary of the Constitution and talked about current or planned projects in the city.

"We will properly arrange the Constitution Square in Bukhaidze Street in Kutaisi as soon as possible. With the consent of the City Council, we made another important decision - we call Moscow Street after the heroes of Shindisi. These two facts are an expression of our attitude towards the country’s constitution and the heroes of the Shindisi battle.

I would also like to talk about the Kutaisi development plan. This is a document that has been under discussion or debate for 30 years. At the initiative of Kutaisi Municipality, the procedure of elaboration of spatial development and development management documentation has started. The City Hall has already received the final version of the document developed within the framework of the second stage of the "Procurement of project services for the development of the Kutaisi city master plan" (Kutaisi city development vision, development strategy and assessment of their viability).

We have already appealed to the citizens to be actively involved in the public process of reviewing this document within a month. It is important for us that as many people as possible from Kutaisi get involved in these discussions and they themselves decide what Kutaisi should be like in the next 20 years, ”said Ioseb Khakhaleishvili.
